Talented artists breathe new life into property as part of $35 million renovation; vintage art displayed
Jeff Perkins will continue to serve as general manager of Honolulu's Queen Kapiolani Hotel, which recently began a $35 million renovation that was first announced in July.
As part of its $35 million renovation, two new food and beverage concepts will open this summer at the Queen Kapiolani Hotel. International development company Plan Do See will open DECK., a pool terrace restaurant, and Knots Coffee Roasters, a café and bar, at the Waikiki hotel.
Queen Kapiolani Hotel, located on the Diamond Head side of Waikiki, Hawaii, recently announced that it has hired Joy Shinobu Tomita as its new director of sales and marketing. In her role as director of sales and marketing, Tomita will serve as an executive on the team leading the $35 million charge to transform the hotel into a four-star, full-service hotel.
The completely re-imagined hotel debuts updated rooms and a new food and beverage concept, adding a modern sensibility to its retro-chic vibe, Hawaiian spirit, and prime Waikiki location.
