Queen Kapi‘olani Hotel in Waikīkī is proud to announce its partnership with the Hawaiian Legacy Reforestation Initiative (HLRI), a nonprofit organization dedicated to reversing two centuries of deforestation in Hawaiʻi through a creative collaboration of forestry, eco-science, technology, cultural/community engagement, education and tourism. With the help of its guests, the hotel has pledged to plant 1,000 native trees at HLRI’s Haleʻiwa Forest site on Oʻahu.

Queen Kapiolani Hotel, located on the Diamond Head side of Waikiki, Hawaii, recently announced that it has hired Joy Shinobu Tomita as its new director of sales and marketing. In her role as director of sales and marketing, Tomita will serve as an executive on the team leading the $35 million charge to transform the hotel into a four-star, full-service hotel.

As part of its $35 million renovation, two new food and beverage concepts will open this summer at the Queen Kapiolani Hotel. International development company Plan Do See will open DECK., a pool terrace restaurant, and Knots Coffee Roasters, a café and bar, at the Waikiki hotel.
