Waikiki Area Information
An oceanfront neighborhood in the city of Honolulu, Waikiki began as a favorite sanctuary for Hawaiian royalty, became a haven for surfers, and is now a must-see destination for visitors from around the world. From Waikiki Beach, you can see the magnificent Diamond Head towering over the island as it beckons you to scale its heights for breathtaking views of the South Shore. Other fantastic things to do in Waikiki include taking in a movie at the free “Sunset on the Beach” event featuring a 30-foot outdoor screen, visiting Kapiolani Park, the largest public park in Hawaii or simply enjoying a lazy day on the beach perfecting your tan.
